| Early development of Magpie. The character was created by Nigel Kitching many years ago and was originally called 'Rocky Rhodes', which we couldn't use. After much deliberation over alternatives, the name Magpie stuck because of the original character's black and white streaked hair. The drawing on the left was my interpretation of the original Rocky before we decided to do this strip together. The rest are development sketches of Magpie and Socrates, including a 3D visualisation of the owl. |
